Major David Gray Memorial Ruck March
On Saturday February 9th, Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) instructors and students from the Oklahoma Air National Guard’s 138th Combat Training Flight (138 CTF) took part in the TACP Association’s memorial ruck march. The march commemorates the 6-month anniversary of the day Major David Gray, a pioneering TACP officer, laid down his life for his country. He was killed in action during a suicide bomb attack on his convoy while providing security in Kunar Province, Afghanistan. He is survived by his wife, and three children. Participants included Mrs. Gray, the 138th CTF’s 30 TACP Association members, and several other TACP members from around the country. The memorial event was held at Veterans Park in downtown Tulsa. The route had hikers proceed south along the Tulsa River Parks trail to 71st St and then back to Veterans Park for a round-trip total of 10.2 miles.
